USB soundcard/speakers problems. HELP!!!

I recently got the sonica theater but I seem to be getting lots of statics noise. I know that the speakers were not faulty since I tested them with the ipod and they work fine. BUt whenever I switch to the soundcard, I get all this static noise in mp3s and dvds. Any usb soundcard user that can help solve my problem would be greatly appreciated

This is abnormal -- It shouldn't be this way at all. You should try it with another computer. If it does this on the other computer too, you should return it.

Now it works whenever I restart my computer. I also had to lower the mixer output and this eliminated the noise for some time. But if I'm gonna change my soundcard setting, then the noise comes back.
