Transformer for converting Voltages

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

All of the equipments that I have now are using 110V (US). I'm planning to move back to my country where they use 220-240V. Any good suggestion for a transformer?

Will that affect the sound at all if I add a transformer? I'm worried about noise and etc.

Thanks

Try this:

They should have anything that you could possibly want or need. I wouldn't overbuy, but get as much as you think you might need. I think there are calculators on the site that should help you purchase the correct equipment.

I purchased a 100v/120v transformer from them for use with a japanese model Stax amp. The transformer was cheap, and works quite well. No noise, no hum. If it degrades the sound, you couldn't prove it by me.

Good luck with the move back home.

I think the PS Audio PowerPlants will accept 220 and convert it to 120. But I don't own one so I'd suggest checking out the PS Audio website to verify. www.psaudio.com
