Hi all,my name is Ivan from Hong Kong and am going to tell you my horrible experience about ordering Livewires ear plugs.UNTIL NOW i still cannot get money back or ear plugs!!!!!!!

Background
About three months ago,i heard some people talking about the cheapest CM plugs and it has finally driven me to do my first CM plugs.On 01 july,07,i ordered a pair of Livewires plugs and ship via EMS from TTVJ.Here is the order confirmation.

Then i asked TTVJ stuff about the processes of CM products and i did my ear-mold and shipped it to the Livewires ,arrived on 17 july,07.

After a month,i asked that about my plugs and on 21 Aug,i was told by the Livewires that my package was sent pn 2nd Aug.But it was already 20 days ago!!!!!!!!And i chose via EMS and it should be around a week or less and ironically,they shipped me via USPS.

Okay!Well,i was confused and asked for the reason but they didn`t reply my questions.The only method to know my package is the track no. and they replyed me as followings.

I tried to track my package from USPS but it only showed me "acceptance".Thereby,i asked them again how long and what should i do if i cannt get it and told them that i chose to ship via EMS but not USPS.Afterward,i know that they would probably earn my money exactly from the shipping,then i questioned them about the shipping and tried to ask for refund.Otherwise,i would post this event here.
About 5/9/07,Mr John Diles replied me with extremely impolite and superficial attitude for this event.

I was shocked after i received such horrible reply from Mr.John Diles and it totally broke the reputation of the Livewires in my mind.
I have no choice but contact with TTVJ about this event and they replied me on 5/9.But they don`t reply me since after that.

Few days ago,i sent an e-mail to both Livewires and TTVJ about the refund and they haven`t replied me at that moment.I check my credit card balance of this month,it doesn`t should any refund from either of them.
HELP
I have not choice but to expose this event and share my horrible experince of it.Now,i wholeheartedly seek for help from anyone in order to get back my money as sson as possible.Please share your point of view towards this event and also the solutions.I am so disappointed about the service from Livewires and also the poor attitude from Mr.John Diles.I pledge for above things are 100%true.
I need you help.Please.

Email seemed a tad rude, but you kind of had a "selective showing" kind of post going on there, only showing us what you wanted us to see. I've heard so much good stuff about Livewires, and the courtesy of John especially. Shipping to Internationally is a real pain, you should know that, and there is a chance it did get lost. And as someone else said, Livewires doesn't just purposely try to cheat you. I think you might have been a reason to this rather rude email from John.

Before i post the last e-mail,i would like to share my past experience from a ebayer.
About one year ago,i bade a Ipod from Ebay and paid EMS cost but he shipped by normal mail.It finally arrived 3 months latter.Other people said that it was a no rare case and some of them suffered form such events before.As Livewires is a new company unlike UE or westone which has great reputation.Also they often reply my e-mail take a pretty long period.Due to such things i am afraid that i would be the victim again and claimed that i would post such behaviour on Head-Fi but they never answer the reason why they shipped it by USPS(International letters and cards)but not theExpress Mail International (EMS) (3 - 5 days).It took over 3weeks when i first time asked them for my package.After a week,they replied me and gave a package no. LC717169659US for me.

It is clearly that i paid EMS fee(I made a mistake that it was sent via EMS instead of Priority Mail® International when i replied to them initially but it has been corrected later)but it shipped by lower class service ie.International Letters and Cards.Also,i have wriiten my shipping method on my order from clearly "Shipping method :EMS 3-5days ,Order from TTVJ".It would be pretty clear for them to choose the correct method.Livewires made this mistake and should shoulder a certain level responsibility.As the track no just showed the state of my package then i sent an email to USPS and they replied me that my package was sent by I.L.C.This was the first time i know the shipping method.

Hence,i was so angry because i waited my plugs for a prolonged time and phone to my home to check it arrived or not ever day and they seem that haven't any intent to follow my case.As a result ,due to the poor service(i waited for over a month!),i sent an email to them with a little bit over attitude.You know,you would so tried if you contact with them at the mid-night ever day.(the time zone of Hong Kong is faster than the US for 12-13 hours)


I couldn't deny that i am not really familiar with the post service in the US but according to my experience EMS is really reliable and provided with a track number.It would be very safe if they ship via it.

Besides,i joined Head-Fi is to share and learn from all Head-Fiers and my first post is about a headphone amp PPA1.1 because i love DIY.Also,i have paid much patience to keep contact with both TTVJ and Livewires almost a month after the last email.I tried evey mean to contact with them to realize what happening but in vain.Thereby,i have no choice but seek for help by posting my unlucky story here.I have not intent to damage the reputation of both Livewires and TTVJ but solely want to get what i have paid.

Furthermore,i was the first (maybe)part of customers in Hong Kong to order from Livewires because of the lowest price in the market.When i posted my order confirmation in a local forum,quite a lot of potential purchasers waited for my review on it.Before i posted it here,i tried to seek for help from a forum with not bad reputation in Hong Kong and members from it claimed Livewires shouldn`t have such replys even the customers were not really polite.However,i could peldge that i was really polite to reply or ask for them in each email until i couldn't bear anymore.The followings are my replys(from before order to ordered).

The reply when just ordered from TTVJ

The day after plugs sent almost 3weeks

I apologized for my doubt in this reply corresponding to the fronter email on 23/8 and tried to relaize what happening to my package.

Above are all my replys that i have recorded.

Now,i would like to tell all one more thing.I was not the only onw who are suffering from such situation.A Hong Kong purchaser called "PEACE" claimed that he is also waiting for his plugs from Livewires for 2 months.

He replied in Chinese and you may transfer it by some softwares.The member "Peace"told me that he tried to contact with Livewires but they couldn`t tell me any details of his package.I tried to contact with him at that moment.

It clearly indicates that Livewires do not do very well for their interantional orders ,however,they have Asia Agent to promote their products in the Asian area.Also,it shows that they are not really intent to solve the problem and they promise me to refund and they lie until now.

A week ago,i tried to contact with them again about the refund but they still haven't any reply.Being a purchaser,it is assumed that they would receive responsible service and also a certain level of products quality.Also,they claims that "30 days love or return it "statement on their wed-site.Is it just a joke or a imaginative promise?


The reason behind posting such psot is simply because of the reputation of Head-Fi and the objective opinions from all Head-Fiers.I am truly disappointed for a part of members said that i was immature to post this fact and seeking for help.Also,i have not idea that why someone can claim that "once the product is shipped ,the dealer has not responsibilty".Is it really rational for the all purchasers including you and me?I truly believe that they should shoulder partial responsibility untill it was arrived.

What i did is solely to seek for help from somebody becasue i am confident that Head-Fi seems an ideal place for me and Head-Fiers would like to help me by giving contributive ideas.I have not any intent to disorder the forum or to damage the reputation of any company.Is it really funny to wirte such long reply and upload pictures and post it in stead of enjoy music and chat with buddies?

Finally,i would like to thank all of you to reply and want to know my story.This is just the begining for it.I wholeheartedly obsecrate all of you to help me.Thank you so much.

Hi all,i haven't got any refund from them until now and it seems that they want to ignore my email.I am truly hoping for their reply.About a week ago,i sent an email to TTVJ,results in the same outcome.Making money is crucial for the businessmen but should be in the right ways.

I am so tried that i should handle this thing every mid-night.Well,it is 2am now.I had better go to bed.=]

I want to give livewires the benefit of the doubt...while dealing with them, I had a pleasant experience, but I am sure the experience varies with different people...

That aside, it has been more than 2 weeks and I have not heard anything about my livewires order yet. I emailed a good 3 times already concerning the shipdate, and I received a very short 1 sentence reply that John Diles is out of town. A little disappointed they didn't meet the 2 week turnaround date, and are sparse on the customer service at the moment.

Despite this, I still am happy with the service so far...any more of a wait without notice, and I will start to lose my patience.

Thanks for your concern.I ,actually,was as same as you initially and Mr.John Diles also treated me like this ,replied with one sentance or even ignoring my replys.
I couldnlt bear anymore after waiting for over a month or more.Also,they shipped via wrong method which without insurance.Finally,no intent to follow my case and replied me with a rude attitude.What the most important thing is that they promised refund but finally lied.No replys!No intention to solve custom issues!Is it really fair for everone who make them richer by ordering their products?I doubt.

This is my first time to face such unlucky incident and the most barbaric company i have met before.Thanks God to produce UE triple fi.10 pro to replace the evil Livewires.What we are doing ,God is looking at!

When dealing with John and Andrew at earpeace they were always porfessional and curteous to me, as i was in kind. No problems at all with my order, besides my own country's customs service taking extra long.

We have refunded you over a week ago. The Livewires were shipped to you. OInce you demanded that they or we compensate you for them not arriving in time you forced us to refund you. The headphones were shipped and there is still a chance they will arrive to you. You have your money back - I am sorry this transaction did not work out.

Hi all,i have got the refund but DO NOT GET THE PLUGS!
Please check the USPS track no i posted.The package may has been returned to Livewires.
I WASTED MY IMPRESSION FEE(US20) AND INSURED EMS FEE.(US25)
I WASTED 3MONTH-TIME TO TAKE CARE OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS.(Priceless)
IT CAUSED ME BEING ANXIOUS,DISAPPOINTED AND BEING SHOKCED BY THE RUDE EMAILS.(Priceless)
Yet,i have not intent to ask for more.That's enough.

Besides,i am really pleased the replies from Head-Fis but it would be much better to realize what is happening before expressing your comments.

I truly hope that our Moderators edit the irrelevant posts like what have did before.

Honesty is what we should have.

At the risk of repeating myself, I just deleted another 14 posts from individuals that are technically in violation of the Terms of Use. Please refrain from posting in this thread unless you are leaving feedback for the subject vendor or you are directly involved in the transaction stated.

I think it is better to let the Livewires state the current situation of my package(returned or received by me?)
If i were the check,i would disappear in here and never reply and answer questions one by one.Also,the package cannot be tracked any more (LC71 7696 59US),i haven't received it ,how can i show the proof?
The main points are that:
1.I chose insured service(EMS)--->they shipped via non insured service.

2.I asked for the reasons--->they didn't account for and replied me very late.

3.I waited for my package over a month and contacted with them again.------->they promised refund.

4.I haven't received any refund and contacted me them again but no replys.------>post this issue here.

5.TTVJ replied me and claimed refunded.

6.I was judged by some Head-Fiers becuase of my so-called "threats" and posted email replied from TTVJ.
----->i try to account for but in vain.


7.The truth left for the wisemen.

I would be really pleased if Livewires could state the current situation of my package.

I would follow this post strictly until it ends.

Although i am the newbie,it wouldn't represent i am not honest.

Please do not trigger any unpleased discussion here.

It seems that you made it your life's mission to attempt to cause harm to my company. You have been fully refunded your money by us through Todd the Vinyl Junkie, one of the most respected names at Head-Fi. We shipped your Livewires in good faith to the address you specified. They have not been returned to our office. If Todd suspected that we defrauded even one of his clients, he would drop us from his product line immediately. We're still proud to be on his front page. I am very sorry that some of my personal emails to you were viewed as rude. Had I known that they would be published here at Head-Fi, I would have written them exactly the same way. I feel that it is highly likely that you have defrauded my company and have both a refund and a shiny new set of Livewires in your ears. Short of hiring a photographer to capture you wearing your now complimentary set, we're stuck. Here's a solution to this mess, Ivan; turn them up real loud, make sure that they are properly sealed and take a nice walk down some railroad tracks. Just kidding, Ivan. That would be dangerous. If there is anything more than a refund that you feel that we need to do to recompensate you, please let me know. Be careful, though. I might just post it here at Head-Fi.

I am quite shocked by your reply, but let's be professional and focus on the issues:

July 1-contacted Livewires

July 12-sent impressions

Aug 2-sent my plugs

Aug 17-21-replied by your company and knew the shipping service was noraml service while i requested insuranced EMS.

Aug 19-Sept 4-I waited for my package and contact your company to ask for help.

Sept 5-replied from you with a pretty rude email and promised to refund

Sept 5-6-asked for help from TTVJ and replied from Mr.Todd but never have moe replys.

Sept 21-OCt 2-sent emails to Livewires but no replys received.

Oct 3-Post this issue here and replied by many Head-Fis.

Oct 9-11-Mr.Todd from TTVJ told me that my money was transfered to my account.Also Mr.Brynn Turcottethe ,TTVJ Shipping Manager,replied me as following"Your $249.00 was refunded on Oct.1, 2007 to the account last four XXXX Visa."

My english may be "poorly written" but my conscience is clear, i have not received your plugs. We would not be in this situation now if Livewires shipped express insured as instructed and paid for by me. I am not sure where this personal attack is coming from but if I ever do receive the plugs, I will gladly return them, as I have no more interest in either your products nor wish to get hit by a train.

That is rediculous.

So what rather than keep them and pay for them you will retun them?

Oh that is very fair on Livewires. They lose $250 while you lose nothing.
