Thread Starter
I'm curious about all the headphone amps that use this fine sounding tube.

I'll start:

What else?

I think I have balanced PPX3 SLAM on the brain.

Out of that list, the 336i is by FAR the cheapest.. man.

However, next amp I want to try, either PPX3 or Bada.

My custom Pre -Amp/ Headphone amp built by Chris Ivan Audio--- I did the case work and helped (some) with the build.......I still need to finish the side panels, 3/4" walnut or some other exotic wood...1st photo shows Ivan's Build and Parts Quality...Everything NOS Military caps, matched resistors, Daven Vol.Pots not installed yet.........Voted best sounding Amp at the Last Cincinnati meet where we had the Ref.7 Dac on loan....I call this Amp "THE BEAST"---Also designed for my HD-800's.......headphone amp_0019.jpg.01 15 04_0447.jpg

Didn't really mean to revive the thread, I was poking around a bit and I really like the 6SN7 tube.  Lots of choices as far as tubes go.  Construction wise they are better build due to the base.  I hate the lean you get on the smaller tubes and sockets.

Since it is  revived, just as well through the Eddie Currant BA in the mix.

Also the Apex Pinnacle.

When are you going to have a review up of the Pinnacle InnerSpace?  And have you tried a different pair of PX4's yet?

Should I do a review?  Hadn't thought of it.  I haven't seen much of a NOS market in PX4s - have you?  I heard of a boutique manufacturer in London who makes new ones.
