Dallas Headphone Meeting Report! - Page 2

Well I'm glad to see that Vinyl was represented. And I second Onix' motion: We want to see what you mugs look like!

Never know if we might pass you on the street.

(Like the 5pounds of batteries and amps wouldn't give it away )

Woo! Looks like it was a happenin' meetin'.

KR, we can have a headphone meet, too! I'll buy the pizza.... Offer pizza, and people will definatly come!

What...no Grados? That's not a "real" meet than.

What kind of digital camera did you use? A Nikon?! Those pics are *huuge*

By the way, what are the Melos clones going to cost? Has anyone compared them to the Wheatfield HA-2?

We had 125's... but like I said, Texans are into the Senns I guess

I believe it was an olympus camera... nice pics

Heh, my dad has a Nikon 990 and I have a hand-me-down (from my dad) Olympus D-620L. Both nice cameras capable of big pictures.

edit: Yup, those pics look Olympus-ish. They've got that trademark not-quite-focused look.

It's an Olympus D-490. It's a great little digital camera for the price. If I had the money/were into photography more I'd have a Nikon 990 as well

I wish we could have had more headphones there personally. Maybe next time we can. Hmmm I hope that next time is soon. I'd kinda like to hear Grado 325/RS-2/RS-1 models if possible. Also, the Sony CD3000, AKG 401/501's, mainly the major ones I guess. Ahh, and Chris... and Earmax Pro would be nice to listen to, but you know that Hopefully I'll be able to bring a pair of 325's to the meet next time.

Hopefully Tyll will be able to bring the Headroom Travelling Display of More Headphones You Can Shake A Stick At Even If You're A Really Good Stick Shaker to the next Headphone Addict Anonymous, Texas Chapter Regional Meeting.

Flumpus--well I hope you're happy. A couple of weeks ago I layed down lots of mulah on Cosmic/Tvl Bag/Ety combo due to your (and many many others on this forum) reviews. The result is mind-blowing.

Now I can't do anything I need to get done at work, cuz I'm obsessing about getting home and playing with my new toys. I hope you're happy!

I should have expected more from a fellow Dallasite than to have you spending ALL my money! It's all your fault!

I'm sick I didn't join this forum until after you had the get-together. Perhaps a repeat sometime soon? On second thought, maybe not....I have to pay for this stuff first.

Oh man, all the Texas talk and people.....makin' me mucho homesick. I lived in Tyler/Dallas for 45 years. I've only been here in CA for a couple.

The worst part about leaving Texas for an extended period of time?

THE FOOD!

It's probably not an issue in LA, or NY... but otherwise Dallas truly does offer a mind-numbing array of eateries. Even the Ethopian food rocks!

We don't have mountains or rivers, but we do have the food!

Right on Nick!

In food circles, Dallas is recognized to be up there with NY, LA and New Orleans. OK, now I'm hungry.

I think its getting to be time to take my little yankee woman on another vacation.....
