Livewires - California Dreamin' - Page 24

post #346 of 3895

Arrival!

Mine arrived at home yesterday after dispatch on 20th December.

king756 they are around at Livewires as I swapped some emails checking where mine were. Try and call them as it seems strange you have not heard anything still.

I have a heavy head cold so can't comment on them really other than to say

* they look cool
* fit seems good
* connectors are really solid (was one of my concerns)
* connectors are gold not black
* the hinges on the case they include were damaged in transit (I'm sure we will sort it out)
* they look cool

Cheers

I've tried contacting them via their website and got a response from Andrew.

They have sent my order out on the 18 December. However they didn't get my previous email about the address change so they have gone to my work address .

I will pop in to work tomorrow morning (if the key works lol) and hopefully our building was open so the postie could of dropped a delivery card somewhere on the floor of our office. If I have no luck the delivery office is only 10 mins away so i can pop down there and see.

Hopefully, fingers crossed after a bit of running about tomorrow and chasing up I might just have my livewires.

Well here it is the 28th and they came through. Just opened the box about 15 minutes ago.

They fit perfectly, sound great, I'm in love.

Will they benefit from a burn in period like some headphones to achieve their best quality?

I'll post some pics later. Got clear/clear.

Brilliant!

I have found the Livewires do improve with burn in. Try this neat combo, it's worked well for me:

Pink Noise + Fry Baby

I put my EQ levels on full, adjust volume level just above normal , and burn away overnight. Keep doing this until there is no discernble difference.

I received mine today, and sadly, at least one must go back. I have a perfect fit in the left ear, but the right ear won't seal. It also appears that the "horn" on the earpiece won't settle into the ear. I have tried every possible insertion technique

Soooo, I sent a note to John and I'm sure that he'll do the right thing.

Are you sure you have it completely in your ear? can you take a photo of the right ear with the Livewires inserted?

Just that there was a similar problem with someone that turned out that he did not have the top part of his earpiece correctly inserted.

This was the problem.

Thanks Kosmic. I read the section of the thread where another user experienced the same issue.

I'll try to snap a shot of my ears with the LWs inserted to illustrate what's going on. Try as I do, that one piece doesn't want to align on the top.

For some reason my Livewires ended up on my desk with the left ear piece cracked open like an egg. Talked to Andrew and it is really not a big deal since I have the drivers. Had to look high and low for the other piece. I have a toddler (Little Poppa) and you guys know how it is. They get into everything. They will be shipped on Monday to get repaired. Will post on the return of the repaired ear piece.

Kosmic... Attached, are photos of my ears (funny) with the pieces in. Notice how well the left fits versus the right.
