Do any of you that still follow this post have the clear/clear combination? If so, can you let me know if you are still happy with this choice and how they've held up? I've only seen a couple of examples of clear/clear LWs posted (pg 75) so I'm not really sure how popular they are. I'm thinking of switching to the traditional red/blue/black so that I can tell them apart more easily in the dark.
I have clear/clear in my second pair of LW (red/blue on my other pair), and clear/clear in my Freq Show. The Livewires get used much more and have several hundred hours on them as my bedside earphones, and they still look as clear as the Freq Show that maybe have 30-40 hours on them (don't like the Freq sound as much although they are not bad, so they are just backups in case I lose some).

Manufacturing Quality A1.

They stay as clear as Day One if you take care of them - i.e. I clean them with an alcohol wipe after each use.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I think I'll leave my order as it is with clear/clear.

Now I just have to forget about it since it will probably be a while before they arrive. John said that I should have them before Christmas but we'll see. He said that they now have a 2nd lab now working with them so that he expects the supply problems to improve.

My impressions arrived to their lab on Oct 21, and John said he expects my order around mid-Dec.... I'm wondering, and worrying, that if they didn't do anything with the impression, then by now the shape already deformed......

Westone will just cut the ear canal portion off the new impressions for their tips. Maybe if they are only a couple of months old they can still use them.

Note that i've painted the cable connecters, wasn't a fan of the bling.

Those look real nice and I like the painted connectors. I'll have to think about doing that when mine get here.

Try putting it in your ears to see if they still fit? They don't chip off easily I guess?

um idk I would be so afraid of manipulating the mold I would want to have someone confirm it is ok first

Looks like Livewires take a while to receive.. I shipped my impressions to Sleek Audio for their customs on Nov. 14th and received the final product on Nov. 27th - less than 2 weeks people!!
