I thought there are no different so I ordered mine use the choice of Portable Music User - iPod, but from local meeting in my area there's someone said it is different in sound because the cross-over/filter/drivers will be different depending on choice we chose.

Can anybody confirm this is true or not? My LiveWires come with no filter in the tube.

Thanks,

I thought there was only one model of Livewires you could order. I didn't know they had any options at all. Are you sure the person you were talking to wasn't confusing them with The FreQ? They have a Music Lover line and a Music Maker line with different models in each line.

That's what I believe too, that there's no option other than color of shell/face plate and the length of cable for LiveWires.

But since I'm the only person who own LiveWires in the meeting then I'm not confident that my understanding is correct.

The silver one needs 120+hours burn in, won't it, so the Melbourne meet won't yet hear its fullest potential (This is the one I am MOST interested in).

No, I have not gotten new LiveWires. But still loving the ones I have. I was just posting in response to another post about being contacted by LW's before shipping.

I might consider buying another set. I just got a new gig with a band that has some really nice big PA equipment, wireless belt packs for IEM's an other nice stuff. I may not use my bass amp with these guys at all, and just go direct into the mixing consoles with my bass and then monitor my bass and the rest of the band with my LiveWires and my ButtKicker only. If you are not hip to the ButtKicker it is a low freq. shaker that adds another dimension to the IEM experience.

I may even try to get the rest of the band into some LiveWires as I don't think they are using anything close to that kind of quality for there IEM's.

That's true, thanks for pointing that out Ian. Neither are burned in at all. I only had time to check they work before posting.

So LiveWires amazingly got back to me the same day, c/o Catherine Neal, and said:

Hey Justin

Your LiveWires are here today. I’ll be sending them out to you via FedEx. You’ll receive an email from FedEx with a tracking number for the shipment.

Let me know if you have any questions.

...

Well sure I have a question, why did I have to ask about the status for you guys to actually tell me they're ready? Were they just sitting around waiting to be sent out for who knows how long, or were they actually ready the day I asked?
But who cares now... I got the email from FedEx today so I'll be receiving them next week
