Livewires - California Dreamin' - Page 128

I'm considering ordering a pair of these Livewires. Is there anything I should consider or be made aware of while I decide? Would you guys recommend going through the extra hassle and paying the extra monies for the Livewires over something like the Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5?

With the isolation of outside sound, you will actually be able to play them quieter and hear everything, thus saving your ears and hearing. Seriously.

Ill tell this to them. it bothers me how concerned they are about how I spend my money. Just curious, how much did you pay for your edition 9s?

Having used Super.fi 5 Pro, sold them, bought another set, and them gave them away to my daughter, I can say the Livewires are worth the hassle.

The highs are smoother, while I thought the Super.fi were a little bright and harsher. The mids are richer while the Super.fi seems a little withdrawn, so female vocals were not as nice with the Super.fi. The bass is about equal I think. The soundstage of the Livewires is better, and imaging of instruments is easier to place them in space - the only IEM I felt that matched this ability was my SE530. The fit of the Livewires and the isolation is superior, and I could never get the Super.fi to fit right without having to use a silicone tip that made my ear canals feel itchy.

Uh, I was browsing the livewire site and I couldn't find any thing on the stats of them.

So what's their range, bass, up keep, at what age should you buy them since your ear grows with you, warranty, do they work with ipods?

I'm planing to get them but I don't want to get something that will sound unremarkable. Thank you.
