Livewires - California Dreamin' - Page 112

The general wait time from when they recive impressions is about 3-4 weeks in the U.S. you are much farther away and also they are steadily getting more orders, give them time they are not a giant company they will come.

So unless there's a misunderstanding of language, that would make it the 5th that your Livewires were shipped, and today is the 6th.

Is the citizen of USA kept waiting like this?
I wouldn't know as I'm not an American citizen, but I doubt they would treat you any differently. Why would they?

I think the whole process for me was about eight weeks, but I need to check again.

Hi guys, just got my impression taken, and on the fence of ordering a clear/clear. I could call them but it's Sunday so I just wonder about this, does anyone know if they have clear cable instead of black yet?
ivan - no, just the black cable still. i suggest maybe clear shell and black faceplates? that will look like sexy is being brought back!

Nobody knows for sure at this very moment. Just email them now and you'll get a response by the end of tomorrow during normal business hours. Be sure to ask that if they do not have clear cables, that you would like to know when they can expect to start selling them and that you are basing your decision on whether they have them or not. If more people demand clear cable, the faster you will get it.

Wow. I wasn't so sure that the Livewires were that much sturdier than the FreQs, which look absolutely ugly and look like they were put together by some kid in his basement, but from what you and the others are saying, they seem to be pretty tough. I might have to pay a visit to their offices next weekend and ask to take a closer look at an existing pair to really see how tough they are. Once I do that and am satisfied with their build, I'm going to walk out of there with $250 less.

No regrets at all - I have two pair now, because for a while I liked them so much I was afraid to use them in case I would lose them

Clear cables, WOW. I thought I kept up with this thread? I'm listening to LW straight out of my 5G Ipod. BBQing as we speak. Great no hassle combo.

How would you guys say they compare to the Triple.fi 10's strictly sound wise?

Well, this is a very hard question to answer.
They're two IEM with very different characters.
IMO, TF10 pro is more (much more) exciting than most IEMs, including LW.
The sound of TF10 pro is as if there are several peeks on it's sound spectrum. Using headphones as analog, I'd say that TF10 pro is a Beyer DT990 in the shape of IEM while the bass is not so overwhelming as DT990.
So, what about LW?
Their sound is very smooth and correct. Almost nothing will be lost with them.
Basses, vocals, instruments, airy sounds, LW did all these well if you give it good source.
I could easily got fatigue with TF10 pros while LW is very comfortable to bear with for more than 4 or 5 hours.
If you want something exciting, I think TF10 pro is a good choice, but for a more balanced and really "GOOD" hi-fi sound, LW is the better choice.
I own them both, and this is my opinion.

BTW, well, my exciting sound for now is not TF10 pro anymore. SuperFreQ has taken that job well enough and more comfortable to wear.
What should I do with TF10 pro?
Hmm...... universal tips still got their advantage, anyway,
I can't share the good sound of my LW or SuperFreQ my friend while TF10 pro could do it at least.

Hi, I'm from far east also. (I'm Taiwanese)
My LW did take a very long time. My impression arrived 1/13, and I finally got my LW on 2/25
So, it takes almost 6 weeks for mine.
They're very slow in replying EMAILs, while good with phone calls.
Anyway, I'm still satisfied with my LW and no much complain for it.
