You know, these things are great for the cash. They get better everyday. I torture them everyday for a couple hours or so. I was real skeptical at first, now I'm just glad I got them. 23 days in the making. I went out of town for a few days so Andrew held on to them until I got back.

The Livewires are fantastic for portable use, and that's what I use them for. The isolation and comfort are brilliant, so if you're on a bus, train, or plane you'll have no problem enjoying your music at a volume level that won't destroy your ears, or disturb other passengers. These are easy to wear all day long if you need to.

Plus they look really cool. The sr60's on the other hand are my gaming phones, and never leave the pc. Unless "Biggles" fashion returns and people wear jodhpurs and cry out "Tally-Ho, Chipper Chaps!" I won't be seen dead wearing them in the street.



The Livewires are highly sensitive phones so my volume setting varies between 8-10 on my clix2. The bonus is longer battery life. When you first use the Livewires it is really important that you start with the volume setting at 0 and slowly find a comfortable level. You could accidently blow your ears with these things, if for example, you had been listening through hd580's, and then did a quick swap for comparison.

The downside to great isolation of course, is you could be instantly squashed by a juggernaut, because you couldn't hear it coming as you crossed the road. These things are too engrossing and need a warning label. Perhaps Earpeace should include a disclaimer with each set.

I was at the mall on Sunday with the Livewires and no amp. I was getting baby pictures made of Little Poppa. That is Gabriel's name at home. He is almost 16 months. Anyway I was listening to AC/DC's Highway To Hell uninterrupted over and over until we were done. These things kept my sanity. The best part is that everything I didn't want to hear, everybody thought I did! BRAVO!

Kosmic - I need to know. WHAT IS THAT COLOR CALLED?! Is it a specific shade of blue?

It's just blue. Actually when I ordered them I was expecting the face plate to be the same see-through blue that you can get for the body.

My heart dropped when I first saw them, but my sons told me they looked cool so, ok , I can live with them.

I have red/blue with a black face plate. I am totally dumb with photobucket. Showing pictures other than an email is rocket science to me. I do have a picture of my Livewires in the other thread by accident it seems like.

Here's something else I've discovered. One of the benefits of customs is they fit perfectly in your ears so they are really comfortable to wear.

The less your attention is drawn to what is on, or in your ears, the more your mind is able to build the illusion of a soundstage in front of you. When your attention is drawn to what is on, or in your ears because of either bulk, or discomfort, the soundstage gets "stuck" between your ears. That's also why I have the wires hanging down and away from my face rather than curled around my ears.

Sometimes when I've put the Livewires in I have an "awareness" of a bulky feeling in my ears that can detract from my listening pleasure. Well, I discovered a way to make it disappear, and I'm not talking about Cabernet Sauvignon!

Here's the trick. When you've positioned your Livewires, rub your finger around the back of the ears where the ear joins the head. Rub around from top to bottom a few times and voila....the Livewires "disappear". Enjoy!

2. the name/number mark stays in the mold or on outside(yea i know it's nonsense if it's outside) so when u order them...u decide to leave it there and how(i dun see anything on the order form concerning this?)
3. 250US doesnt include postage or does it???!(i know but bear with me)
4. @Kosmicsince you r in the UK(n many others of u) i would like to ask you how much you got charged by the customs so what was the total u had to pay for everything includin 250+shipping+custom charge
5. so now every pair ships with a 50ohm-resistor-embedded cable or a separate adaptor?

Congratulations, Kosmic. It looks really cool. Eventhough they have a really analytical and clean sound, they have great bass extension, just that they don't boom. I thought the bass was a little light until I tried some of the tracks recommended in this thread (for the Super.Fi EB)

I think you just described the Livewires Push To Hear accessory.

I push gently once on the back of my ear to displace the Livewire a little to hear what's around me, then push it back in place to continue listening to music.

Livewires PTH Works better and less bulky than the $60 Shure PTH accessory!

2) The name & number stays in the body unless you ask otherwise.

3)It doesn't include postage...which is about six pounds...cheap as chips mate!
