I scheduled another appointment today to get my impressions again. should I just re-do the right ear? or get them both redone?

I would put the bite block in my mouth on the highest position first and then get both ears done again.

My LiveWires should be leaving the US tomorrow!

Arriving about a week later, the 27th i guess.

Supermacro III on loan arrives tomorrow, and batteries for it arrive tommorrow or later next week, due to the easter holiday break and bank holidays etc.

Looking foward to hearing a lossless album amped and livewired, and lossy files amped. See what happens in my testing.

Ok guys I went to the audiologist and the impressions were much better. I shipped them out right afterwards and EarPeace Tech should be getting them tommorow since they are around 2 hours away. Pretty excited

overall I spent $320 for livewires (impresions + shipping + handling etc)

My original budget a month ago was $150 lol.... It was meant to be.

Is their a red/blue livewire team on headfi???


also i called FreQ and they were happy to refund my money.. well not happy (obviously) but agreed to it


I will be listening to my livewires from a 5th gen ipod vid (30 gig) with losless files. I don't think you would need an amp for these, such low impedence.

congrats elluzion! no you would not need an amp, but you would benefit from one that has a warm signature to couterbalance the analytical nature of the livewires...great pair of iems.

When i was at the audiologist and he was pulling the impressions out of my ear it felt like the devil was in there and had to be pried out, it was intense.

Send it to sales. I had waited ages for status updates. I heard John was away so contacted sales, who made sure my address had been corrected and got back to me on the status.

If you want a refund they will give it to you, but i still think you should go back to your audiologist and get them looked at and new impressions made. Send them and the livewires back.

THEN MAKE SURE THEY FIX YOUR ADDRESS. GET THEM TO DOUBLE CHECK WHEN THEY SAY IT IS RIGHT. I HAD TO AS THE MISTAKES WERE SMALL BUT IMPORTANT AND ALTHOUGH I TOLD JOHN IT WAS STILL WRONG IN THE DATABASE. SALES CHECKED, SAID IT WAS CORRECT AN I INFORMED THEM OF THE MINOR MISTAKES AGAIN, HIGHLIGHTING THEM, THEN HE SAID IT WAS WRONG, HE MISSED IT, AND UPDATED IT.

You dont wanna be paying that taxi fare again.

About the ordering, what's with the 50 ohm resistor? Does it come separate from the cable or is the cable modified to have a 50 ohm resistor?

If they're together, should I get it? I'll be using with Ipod 5.5g+turbodiabolicious+headsix
