Just kidding.
This meet just keeps getting better and better.

soldering pumps at 10 meters!

Or we can build these and hurtle flaming capacitors at each other:

The DIY guys must not forget that the MOTs can throw stuff as well. We are equal opportunity, if nothing else. It's a good thing I took out an insurance policy to cover me for this event.

20 it is. 16 tables remain.

Can I tentatively reserve a table? I'm not 100% yet, but things are looking good thanks to Voltron offering me a place to crash and flights to Florida being relatively cheap. I could either sit between Nate and Grawk, or if you think that my amp and CD player will need their own table, #14 looks nice.

As an aside, if anyone wants to babysit my amp and source for a week or so before and after the meet, let me know, as I will probably be trying to ship them there and back.

Also, I've been looking on travelocity at the flights there, but need to wait a week or so before I can be sure about booking... so if anyone has any suggestions on other places to look with good fares, let me know.

Table 14 is yours. Feel free to ship anything to me. I will make sure it is shipped back the following week. boomana would probably be agreeable to this as well.

Try Kayak.com for flights.

Cool, just listening to my rig for the first time in a while... too many new Wii games.

Kayak.com seems better that the other places I've checked, thanks for the recommendation. Looks like the flights are WAY cheaper if I leave from Buffalo. Checking to see what kind of bus/trains there are and what the cost would be.

EDIT: The cost of the train nearly equals what I save leaving from Buffalo and adds 3-4 hours to my trip each way... so I'll pass on that. The flights from Toronto Pearson are still pretty cheap really, compared to when I went out to Alberta. I just told the Wife that I am planning on shipping the amp down and she is kinda freaking out.

I've been thinking, that if I can find a table partner or someone who would take table 21 or table 7 that has a decent CD source with multiple outputs, we could run my amp along with their amp off of the same source... which would save me shipping the Eastsound down to Florida. If anyone is interested, let me know through PM. Though I can't yet confirm my attendance 100% [waiting on something, should know soon though], I would need this person to be 100% confirmed as it would be a disaster to have no source after making the trek down to Florida.

Oh, and to make it an even more difficult order, I'd really like balanced outputs. If this doesn't work out, it's not a big deal, but it would certainly make things simpler for me.

I'd like a spot at Table #7.

I'm 85.999% sure I'll be coming.

If anyone wants to have a "DAC Shootout" table, I have 4-way Toslink distribution amplifier/splitter I can bring.

I won't be occupying too much space, pretty much everything I'll be bringing will be carry on friendly.

LOL, should I bring my partially finished DynaMid and have you help me troubleshoot and finish it?

You think the TSA screeners will have issues with me bringing lots loose wires, and electronic bits with me? Hey, maybe I should bring my Metcal and other soldering equipment as well. Perhaps get started soldering on the plane?

Well I am definitely coming and I am driving down from the oh so gorgeous (if you like corn) central portion of Illinois. So as I stated in my PM I will not need a table but I will need a place for my Sanus rack which will hold the gear. Since Philodox needs a source I have no problem sharing the Cambridge 840c. We can run off the GSX's balanced loop outputs as long as that would be acceptable. We don't want to upset the Thundercougarfalconbird (Come on now you know that is the name that won)

Thanks for the offer.

As long as the loop outs are not volume controlled, that should work fine. Not sure how we would work it with you using a rack and me a table, or will there be space for the thundercougarfalconbird in your rack?

I'm going to check to see what the cost of shipping my source down is and if it isn't too bad I might just do that instead. I'll PM you once I know.

There is less than 90 days to CanJam and only a few member tables taken. Guys, it's time to start reserving tables so there is more than just Florida members gear in attendance. Those who don't want to take it on planes, can arrange with me to ship either to me or the hotel. I did this for the first National and it worked out great.

I'll have my MOTMOTMOT mail a package your way mike when the time comes, so I don't have to carry it on the plane.
