I think the project is still alive, but probably not the first priority of Triad Audio at this moment compared to the HeadCode and the ValveCode. This is pure guess though.

Glad you are enjoying your Amp. The Portable Headcode, is not dead, it is just slow moving. Since the PORTACODE is based upon, the Home Headcode TRIAD is making the Home Headcode in DM Form as the 1st out. This is similar to the DM You have however with the NEW Upgraded PC Board Modules for both the Amp and Power supply to GEN II. After this version is going smoothly then the two Box home headcode as well as the PORTACODE will be introduced. As for a time frame all I can say is when you see the headcode available Know that the PORTACODE’s time is close at hand.

Hi PPL,

I doubt anyone listened who listened to amps designed by you will not be impressed . I'm also eagerly waiting for the release of the HeadCode as well. Just a few questions:

1. Can the HeadCode drive a sensitive IEM without hissing? My Lisa hisses with my ES3X (somewhere 1254 dB/mW sensitivity).
2. Any idea about the price of the HeadCode?
3. 110V/220V or user can choose the input voltage?
4. Any planned date of release?

the headcode is even less designed for IEMs than Lisa III is. headcode is a no compromise home amp and likely will hiss just as Lisa does with very low impedance IEMs. the ES3X is extremely sensitive and even hisses with some lower power portables. it is a hard ask to expect a high power fullsize amp to cope with the whole range from ultrasensitive right up to inefficient; hard to drive full size headphones. of course ppl is welcome to correct me here, but I think you might be on the wrong track. you can always add a resistor inline with the volume pot or ask for Phil to produce yours with this. Portacode is NOT a portable amp; it is the fullsize headcode shrunk into a smaller package. it just happens to run on batteries. it will be a few times larger than Lisa III, so while it is in a sense portable, it is not really designed with portable headphones in mind.
