HeadAmp Pico Portable Amp (w/ optional upsampling 24/96 USB DAC) Pre-Order Thread - Page 225

I remember justin saying that Pico has a dedicated charging circuit that will stop charging after the battery is full, to prevent overcharging, so its safe. But meh, having the man himself replying would be more reliable.

Yes, it does stop charging when the battery is full. However, leaving the battery full for long periods of time shortens its lifespan. If you intend to NEVER run the amp on battery power, you should run the battery down to about 1/2 capacity, then unplug the battery from the circuit board which can be done just by removing the back panel of the amp.

would that make the charging light stay on permanently?

haven't tried it, but i don't think so. the charger would just think there's a very, very small battery that charged up very quickly.

Justin, just to reaffirm, we can just directly order the batt from you, have you ship it over and then install it ourselves right?I dont want to send my pico back and wait should that day come when the battery dies!

when I almost lost my patience, the HeadAmp Pico Portable Amp just come today,it's so cute and sound is awesome, like everyone wait a long time said:it's really worth waiting.
thanks Justin
a little advise: if you could change the waiting time on your website from two weeks to one month, it will feel better when people waiting for it.

I do look forward to my Pico. I placed an order via Google Checkout on 24 Jan and sent an email to Justin on that. Yet, as of today still no email reply, no confirmation of payment from Justin.
Hope my pico will arrive before March.

Feb 3 or Jan 3?
Do you mean it takes only 7 days to have the shipping notice?

I'd definitely appreciate if any other customers could keep this thread updated with the date they ordered and the date they received it so I can get a good idea of when to expect mine without cluttering up Justin's inbox with ETA requests. I'll be sure to do the same. My order was placed on 2/1.
