OOOOOOh... The old "every company is an evil entity" rant. My favorite. You want to start in on how old members who sell here are scam artist, too?

What are you talking about? You are not making any sense. And have you even read up on the sites being advertised?

I see you think it is a nice night to go for a stroll in the park.

If you're too stupid to do you own research on where and where not to buy products (any products), you deserve to get screwed... hard.

Again, what are you talking about? Do you have some sort of issue that makes you like this?

I am the one who DID research the advertised companies.

EDIT: After reading your previous threads, especially the one on your arrest, and your cheese thigh thread. I think you might be high or drunk. So I'm done with you.

Doesn't non nonsensical mean that his argument does make sense?

Anyways, I don't see the ads as I'm a contributor and frankly, I don't see why so many people have problems with it if they aren't contributors. I've learned so much from this forum and I've benefited so much from being a part of this community that I almost feel obligated to be a contributing member, the extra pm space and less ads are just icing on the cake.

i agree; i've also noticed a decided loss of quality to threads and overall cache; i do feel the site has sold out the faithful and i'm just about to take it off my bookmark toolbar, which is sad

you guys are pretty gullible; that guy is almost never around; not even a single comment about the change; he gets too much credit

Even more awkward because he was online today to deliver the Head-Fi podcast #3.

Personally, I think you cross a line when you start putting advertisements directly in the threads themselves (as opposed to above or off to the side where they can be ignored or viewed at the forum member's discretion).

Not much for the pay Head-Fi extra to reward them for doing so arguement either.

Personally, I don't like the adds but I'm not in open revolt over them. I'm surprised how bitter people are toward them. This site is huge and loads fast, that takes a decent rig behind it and that costs money. Contributing isn't going to happen very soon for me and the second easiest solution to the ads - the one which I plan on taking - is to not click on them. Simple is that. It's not worth going off the handle over.

I don't see any ads in the middle of threads... I guess they don't appear for contributors. Honestly though I'd rather see ads then have extreme slowdowns or worse for Head-fi.

And the lowest level of contribution adds up to less than $0.06/day (just did the math). If you don't like the adds in the thread just cough up at least that much. There are so many worse ways to spend one's money. Especially here sometimes...

However I think that the Google ads at the top are interesting. I doubt I'd ever click them but some of the stuff they link to amuse me. Try going to a govibe related thread... I had a laugh for a bit.

and that really is the question, which too many members are too gullible to ask; as far as i can see from a gut-feeling, it feels vere excessive; i've been noticing this great forum go down hill for nearly a year now
