There must be some way to hook it up. It's been a while since I've had a receiver, but can you hook the tape out to the amp you were thinking of buying? I know you can hook up some subs by wiring the speakers on the receiver to the sub and then wiring the output from the sub to your speakers. Not all sub amps have this feature, though. But there has to be a way to hook it up- don't give up.
