IEM's that scale good with amps

Im going to school again, so i cant really be seen with some AKG's in class. either that or some portable closed cans.
i listen to metal, more metal, 80's metal, and some trance/electro, but noone really cares about that.

i pretty much need what i have in my guitar setup, a U shaped frequency response.

i know that charts dont mean a whole lot, so id like to hear from a lot of people who actually own/ed the canal phones they are talking about.

id prefer if they scaled well with amps because im starting amp rotation so i can get a good taste of what portable amps are about now that i have a job that pays ok for my age. iBasso D1 is up and ill probably call it quits until i invest in a pair of HD580's/home amp.

The Triple.Fi are great and scale well with amps. Unless you're looking for a custom, which might scale even better.

well...the SF5 pros are good with rock. I have the SE420s and like them alot too. They seem to work with every genre. Shure=2 year warranty.
