Today I gave Justin a deposit for the new KGBH SE. He told me it should be done in about two months. The price is now $4500.

Congratulations!
I have been looking forward to the Blue Hawaii Special Edition since last year. Hopefully Justin will show off some pictures pretty soon, as I refrain to order something I don't know what will look like...

Thanks!

The metal work is just being started so it will be a few months.

Congrats on getting KGBH SE, and do post pics when you have them.

Congratulations.

A caveat and not a complaint- Justin is a perfectionist and won’t ship it until it’s done so there may be delays outside of his control. Have faith and be patient- your patience will be rewarded many times over. I ordered the Aristaeus and waited beyond what I thought was possible. It is perfect cosmetically and sonically. It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever heard. I can only imagine what the Blue Hawaii SE would sound like and it gives me grins.

If you wait too long it might not be available since I believe over half are already spoken for. You might ask if the deposit is refundable? That way you could get your foot in the door.

I ordered the Aristaeus sight unseen with no idea what it would look like. It is stunning to behold.

Wow, the Aristaeus is gorgeous!

I agree, something like this is worth the wait. What are the alternatives?

I believe the deposit is refundable, so krmathis, you may want to put a deposit down now. 2-3 months is not that long. Heck, I have waited longer for other hand built components.

Yes, thats the main problem with limited edition products from HeadAmp.
They tend to be sold out before they even are released (meaning public pictures and full specifications). Good idea about the possible refundable deposit. I will look into it.

Thats the main reason I am waiting anxiously.
Cause after seeing the beautiful Aristaeus I don't accept anything less beautiful and well built.

From what Justin have told me I am not 100% that the Blue Hawaii Special Edition will match the aesthetics of the Aristaeus. But that remains to be seen.

There won't be any wood, and the front panel won't extend past the edge of the box (the amplifier chassis will have heat-sinks as the left and right sides of the box, like many power amplifiers).
The metal finishing will be the same hand polished as the Aristaeus, and the same laser engraving.
