To me, the 595 sounds like 2 mono channels (left channel and right channel) instead of music coming from 1 source, like the 580.
The 580 sounds muddy only when I used my old school soundcard, SoundBlaster Live. I don't think it's muddy, even when I'm using my free mp3 player, unamped. So, it depends on your source/system.
Not to mention your music preferences. If you're hearing mainstream music, mostly not an audiophile quality, you won't hear differences.
