I just need one switch, not two, as per the switch it does not necesarily ahs to be that good mechanically, it is not for a DJ, is forvery moderate use, and I will not change the output, just the input...

To me this sounds contrary to good sound not requiring at least a good mechanical connection.

The mechanic behind those switches, and that makes those swiches expensive, is not the mechanical connection of the audio tabs, rather than the rotation of the shaft and the mechanical steps, having a more solid and robust mechanical switch, gives you the feel of being better (indeed they are, but mechanically) but soundwise other cheaper alternatives are very good as well...how many manufactirers use the DACs, very few, too expensive, and also too bulky...if cost is not a problem I would use them as well, and if I get one cheap that I do not like the switch, a relacement will be one of those...

Also if I found one expensive unit that really is waht I'm looking for, I will get it, non of those are what I'm after, I just want a single rotary switch, with the jacks, in a black aluminum anodized box...

Ori whipped a nice little device for a meet once. Although he doesn't sell them, maybe you could convince him to make a second. No box, but it looked better that way.

I reckon a nice, retro, homemade solution with some sockets and a patch cable would be sweet. Just like plugging and unplugging gear, only done at the front! To hell with rotary switches! Mmmm, maybe I'll make myself one.
