TEAM: I spent too much on audio gear to afford furniture
post #17 of 51
For an inexpensive and very comfortable recliner I have a Lafuma RSX XL recliner. It can be folded up and put out of the way. At $159 delivered it’s a fantastic deal. I got the Black Batyline- the padded one seemed like it would be hot.

Lafuma Furniture was a great place to deal with.

The problem with the one below is the armrests don’t go all the way back and it’s like there’s a hole that your arms fall into. I was going to buy one of these but the armrest hole was a deal breaker.

I have two Lafuma chairs in my backyard and they are incredibly confortable!!! For the price, they are really a fantastic deal.

Since I'm still a college student without a permanent address, I found this butterfly style folding chair. It has microfiber pseudo-suede fabric and is well cushioned.

It's pretty cheap but it's great for portable comfort. All I wish for is an ottoman to go with it.

are the herman miller's really worth their cost??? why?

IMO the Herman Miller Aeron chair w/ the Posture Fit lumbar support is worth every penny. It is by far the most comfortable work chair that I've owned. So comfortable that I've purchased two of them for my desks at home. Everyone's comfort needs in a office chair is a little different, so there are a few that feel the Aeron isn't the best solution for it's price. Perfect for warmer climate regions where a cushion padded chair may get too warm to sit on. The Aeron's Pellicle material breathes and remains cool while distributing your body weight evenly accross it seating and back surface. The Posture Fit lumbar support system is adjustable and supports my lower back where I feel is most needed to ensure comfortable seating for long period of time.

The Herman Miller Eames chair is also very comfortable, got a chance to try one out at my cousin's place and almost went out to buy one.

I'm in the market for a new chair and have considered the Aeron. But, while it is extremely comfortable and flexible, it doesn't have a headrest.

I found this competitor which is right up their with the Aeron in terms of comfort (great lumbar support and fully adjustable), but also has the headrest I'm looking for.

Does anyone have experience with this chair?

wouldn't the foam make this chair really warm on your bottom?

Not in Canada!

Actually, I'm using a foam based chair now and this one is significantly better, since it is that "magic memory foam" stuff! It is incredibly comfortable.

Went to the store today and pull the trigger on it, but have to wait up to 3 weeks for delivery because they are on backorder. Ugh!
