Not yet. I am hoping to have the sign up system working soon. I will post a vendor list soon. So far I have probably 20 vendors signed up to attend and still waiting for a bunch more.

I haven't flown them in a while but they are not much different from the rest. The fare seems to be a pretty good fare. I don't think you could save much if you waited. Not that $200 rt is impossible, just not likely.

Spirit Air is the one that ruined my Jan/Feb trip from JFK to FLL last year. They called me at 1:00 in the am, 5 hours B4 my flight and told me that they had plane difficulties and only had one plane in the vicinity. I had 4 hours to make another flight reservation on a Friday and the few airlines that had one seat were charging $1400 for the seat.

Stay away from them. They are the Devil incarnate. Mia and FLL are big flights from JFK and LAX on weekends and Spirit still had no back up with later flights. American goes almost every hour
Take Jet Blue or AA. At least they have multiple flights from major cities and can get you on another flight.
I got my money back in 3 weeks but missed the flight. They are a small time operation and it is worth a little more money to go with one of the big boys.

+1 here... that is one screwed-up airline. Avoid like the plague.

My company's home office is just outside Ft. Lauderdale, so I fly there often. Ed, your 2 best choices are American out of LAX, or, if you can sleep on the plane (I can't), the Jet Blue redeye direct from Long Beach. If you REALLY want a long day in the air, though, try the LGB-JFK-FLL route on Jet Blue

Well, by 'often', I mean every 2 months or so... but I've only been with them since July. All three of my trips so far have been week-long events/ordeals. I'm looking forward to a reasonable one next time. Speaking of which, that next one is February 5ish-8, and if the SoFla gang is free, I'd love to hang out with everybody. One thing, though, I seem to recall that you guys indulge in just a bit of the brew. My youth pastor has urged me to stay away from that stuff, so...

We are returning from NorCal on 2/4. Getting away that week may not sit well with my wife but send a pm and maybe we can grab a drink.

If we get together, you are definitely on the list. I was getting ready to post a mini meet at my place since my wife and daughter were going out of town but then I realized they are returning Saturday and we are running the Miami Half Marathon Sunday morning. I will try to have a mini meet before CanJam.

sounds like an amazing time, doubt my parents would be thrilled about me flying to florida for some convention about headphones. haha, that and i'm just a broke college student. people should post pics, i listened to the head-fi podcasts last night, had interviews from san jose on it, sounded like a fun time.

Ugh. I was hoping to avoid American. I can't stand their mega lines for the security checks at LAX.

Jet Blue really has that messed up of a flight route? LGB is not that far from me.
Although LAX is such a zoo, I might try JetBlue instead.

Ed, I feel your pain, amigo. When I heard that my new company was outside of Fort Lauderdale, & I reviewed Jet Blue's destinations, I got pretty excited. THEN, I saw the redeye restriction. LGB has a huge bottleneck as to gate spaces. They recently got limited approval to expand a bit, and my prayer is that they'll add a daytime route to FLL.

Mike, shoot me your cellie numero, and maybe if your sched allows on the weekend of the 9th/10th, I'll hang out, and we can have a drink or seven, or exchange my SR60 for your... Orph
