I've never been, but from what I've been reading on this thread (I actually read the whole thread) it should be fun.
Welcome to our little group. See you in a month and a half.

I know what you can do in photoshop). So I guess I'll just have to make a trip down and see if you guys and gals live up to your rep. See you in April.

Update: OK, the guantlet has been thrown down (i.e. the room is booked), I expect a serious partay [Where's the slightly inebriated but still funny smilie?]
You want proof? You can handle the proof!

I can handle anything above 80 proof just fine. Don't want anything living in my beverage in those warm climes

Vicky, I do not know how low you want the subwoofer to go nor how much you want to spend. I can tell you I have an earlier version of: http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rt-10d.aspx and it is a killer unit.

Of course you could choose the highly regarded Velodyne: http://www.velodyne.com/velodyne/pro...4&sid=288f838r I almost did but got such a great deal on my reference Klipsch that I could not pass it up. Good luck.

Mmm, fine rums.

Maybe we should make this meet even more international by encouraging everybody who is of age and so inclined to bring a bottle of something from their homeland (even if they don't live there). I could bring a nice cognac, a Welsh Single Malt or an Irish Whisky. So many choices for us mutts in the U.S.! Any takers (bringers)?

I guess I'm from Kentucky because I'm bringing some Pappy Van Winkle.

Bring two, I'm thirsty ... Spell it correctly, though, or we'll call you a poseur.

Ummmmmm, Manishewitz

All this talk of wine makes me think CanJam will be more just a Jam...

This meet is starting to sound interesting. My buddy and I are talking about driving down there Blues Brother's style and throwing down the gauntlet on this drinking thing... I'll bring a half gallon of genuine absinthe and let the bodies hit the floor. Picture a couple caffeine powered yahoos in a bright red Pontiac full of Burger King wrappers and venom... We'll call the trip "Fear and Loathing In Head-Fi"

With all of this talk of spirit consumption, I hope it doesn't turn out like the "Source Awards" a couple of years ago.

We could save money, skip renting the Banquet Rooms and go to the largest park in FLL and bring tents, sleeping bags, and our 200TB 7th Generation Ipods with Bose Triports.

Gene: Like Hannukah, there are many versions of the spelling (aka Thunderbird). Never mind how the company spells it...what do they know?

Please find enclosed a link to my research:

People are going to think that all we do is drink, which is not so far from the truth but remember this is first and foremost a meet. And it's a meet where we are going to try and focus on the music as much as the gear which is the reason we are going to have live entertainment this year.

Now the after parties, that's another story.
