Ok I'll tell. If you unscrew the caps on top of the rods, and slide the rods out of the metal brick thing on each end of the headband, there is a little spring inside, which pushes against the metal rod to make it stay in place. At the tip of the spring, is a little piece of plastic so that the metal spring does not scratch the metal rods.

003 found the best way to wrap up this thread faster by telling us the answer in 56 minutes to not cause more interest in the HP1000 so I can find one for cheap.

Killercrush if you don't own an HP1000 then how did you know of such an obscure detail?
I was gonna mention it too, but I wanted to let the thread go for longer.

By thinking of it, you don't want to know how much time I think of it.

Well, I got my SR-100. I'm happy enough for now . I'm trying to convince somebody that I'd pay Alex to recable his pair of SR-300 to take his JGSUWBRC. Evil me.
