Gary, it's easier than you think. Just pull the wire holders away from the earcups (no tools necessary) and the earcups come right off. Them you can see the circular swivel pivot that houses the 2 screws. They are tiny, like the ones that hold sunglass lenses into their frames. A precision phillips rotating about 6 turns will remove the screw. Just go to any optical brick and mortar and for $.50 they will give you a replacement screw.
If you'd like, I can get a screw for you and fix them at the meet with a "no damage" guarantee.
If not you can always take a chance and mail your $7000 prized possesions up to Connecticut and have some bench flunkie do the same (note the sarcasm), and then take another chance having them mailed back to you.
Trust me...if you can open a bottle of Patron Silver without spilling it, you can do this incredibly difficult repair
