I'm a big fan of Larry's stands. Here are a few pics from the Tampa meet. Some of the other goodies in the post by Towert7 will also be at this meet.

BTW, guys, I've been on a serious music buying binge lately, and will bring some finds that sound stunning with headphones: Kaki King, Zoe Keating, Dino Saluzzi, Hossein Alizadeh, A Fine Frenzy, The Black Keys...plus a nice selection of classics I just got today from Elusive discs: Sarah Vaughan, Bill Evans, Coltrane, etc. on xrcd.

if only it had a creative artistic etching engraved in the base

PS Mike any chance I can provide the source for your rig, if you are ok with it I can bring the cosecant.

This is getting me excited. If the details are important, I will bring my Larry stand as well.

Cheers,
Markus

I'd be happy to borrow your source, maybe for an extended visit

So, I'm excited for you guys to hear with what Thrice did to my Canamp. I got it back today, and have been listening for the last two hours now (after trying out the Mini³). I liked the sound of this amp from Day 1, but with Thrice's minor tweaks, I'm pretty blown away. I'm going to bring the Larocco and SR-71 to the meet, but they'll be for sale after. I'm just using a Denon DCP-100 and R10s, and I'm as happy as I've ever been. I plan on getting a female imod dock, and it will be the perfect bedroom rig.

Hopefully some RS 1 and 2s will make an appearance.

That would be great. I want to compare the Cosecant to the Transporter.

Vicki, I saw Kaki King at Langerado a couple of years ago. She was great.

Vicki - I'll have my laRocco PRII, so if you get a sale before the meet, no worries. Glad to see someone has priorities straight and is concentrating on the music. Can't wait to sample the new tunes.

mfueger - which Stello dac do you have? I had DA220, and thought it was excellent.

jp - yes, definitely lug the Cosecant with you. I need to hear it, 'cause I want it to suck, so I won't want one. (yeah, right).

ty - are you sure you want the meet at ES, but stay at Amerisuites? As others pointed out, that's a long haul over and back with all that gear. So much easier to have meet and lodging at same place. Maybe we could have a field trip to the ES to check facilities? I plan to come over early enough on Fri that you, Aaron, nums, Vicki, and whomever else is around (DOTU?) could go over Fri afternoon. I'm game for whatever you decide, however, and will be happy doing it.

The problem is I am having trouble finding a location. I've been to 4 hotels nearby and either the rooms are too small or they are not available. I have a few more to check out. If this were most meets in other locales we would be dragging our gear somewhere. If we have a van, we just load it up and drive 20 minutes. I mean, it's really not that big a deal. There seems to a lot more whinning in this Florida Meet thread. I mean, we do have a rep to keep up and quite frankly, I think some of you are falling short.

You're being verrry undude.

Dash, I will have a RS-1 on hand, and agile_one, the DAC is a DA100.

I hope that the debate about the hotel is all settled by now. I have made my reservation at the Amerisuites Plantation, and I don't mind having to drive the gear around a little.

Mike, did you get the tickets to The Samples?

Cheers,
Markus

tyrion: I dropped off the money exactly as per - look... man, I've got certain information, all right? Certain things have come to light, and - y'know, has it ever occurred to you, that, instead of, uh, y'know, running around, uh, uh, blaming me, y'know, given the nature of all this new sh**, y'know, this could be a-a-a-a lot more, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, complex, I mean, it's not just, it might not be just such a simple... uh, y'know

Thanks Markus, it's nice to see a new guy step up to the plate. Maybe fresh blood is what we need down here. I mean this is the pre-CanJam, CanJam, da****. Oz has invited us over Friday night if we want, mini meets to follow, the meet on Saturday and then The Samples. There are guys flying from cross country, other countries, NY, Chi Town, VA and some of you don't want to drive 20 minutes to the place where possibly the meet to end all meets will take place in just under 7 months.

Great. I was hoping it was one with USB, and will love to hear it from a computer. Thanks!

Sorry, Mike, I just had to press those buttons, 'cause your just so damn cute when you get all worked up like this.

So we're all agreed, then. Rooms at the Amerisuites, meet at the Embassy Suites.
