Would the Grover S be an upgrade over Signal Cable Silver Resolution?

Thread Starter
Hello,
I own a pair of Signal Cable Silver Resolution interconnects and I am pretty happy with their performance with my Rega Saturn/HeadAmp GS-1/Sennheiser HD650/Equinox combo.
Lately, however, I have been reading alot of raves about the Grover S interconnects on Head-fi and how good they match up with the Rega Saturn CD player.
The Signal Cable Silver Resolutions' are pure silver, and the latest Grover S is a silver/copper hybrid interconnect, from what I have gathered so far.
From those who have owned both, or compared both, how do they compare sonically?
Would the latest Grover S interconnects be an upgrade, downgrade, or about even, compared to the Signal Cable Silver Resolution interconnects in your opinion?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I've read only great things about Grover S on three separate forums. To the point where I will be receiving mine this week!

But I've only got red dawns to compare to...

Hi daltonlanny

I have the latest white/white Grover S ICs but will upgrade to the charcoal/graphite version now that Grover is back from his 2 weeks vacation in the mountains.

The most extensive discussion/reviews on these are on Audio Nervosa forum where folks have had 2 group buys. Grover revised the Grover S between the group buys. The latest "charcoal" or "graphite" version is said to have even more high frequency detail than the latest white/white version I have in use.
For the reviews, go to www.audionervosa.com
look for "Cable Ward" then "Cranioelectric stimulation" and find the
"New Grover IC impressions (August 2007 graphite version)" thread.

I just sent in an order for a 1 meter pair of the Grover S graphite version interconnects.
When I get them and burn them in, I will compare them head-to-head with the Signal Cable Silver Resolutions.
Should be a very interesting comparison to say the least.

I don't know about Grover S, but if you can find someone who makes silver interconnects using the silver WBT NextGen connectors, that would definitely be an upgrade, though a very expensive one. The silver WBTs get more raving than the silver Eichmann bullets. Still looking for someone myself.

I'm starting to think lots of so-called "high-end interconnects" would be mere side-grades to the Silver Res Analog myself. Although the accuracy of the customer reviews on Signal Cable's site could be suspect, someone on there does reference the $700 Cardas Golden Reference against it, and preferred the Signal Cable.

$57 each or $197 for a set of four! Eeowch.

They may be good, but that's a fair chunk of money.

They are the best and 46 euro's a piece aint that much money. Most things in audio cost more.
