Cardas 10 foot cable for Senns

I just committed to buy a new 10' Cardas cable for my HD580's off E-Bay for $100. Could not believe my luck so I promptly hit the Buy It Now button, I then realized the guy selling does not accept PayPal, only credit cards or cashiers check. $100 for a new 10' Cardas cable seems too good to be true. What do you guys think?

Oh! Forgot to mention. The E-Bay store goes by the name of "The Holding Company" with 95% feedback.

Technically speaking, you are safer with a credit card than PayPal.

for sure I agree. Paypal is good for one thing, putting there hands in your pocket. I refuse to use there service for many reasons that I won't go into now.

I don't really feel safe giving a stranger my credit card number. I am not exactly shopping on Amazon

I'd be more concerned that i was buying a Fake. Cardas has many imitators.

Yeah it might be a fake. But I mean Cardas sells their cable maybe the guy just made a cable from that.

I paid 100 bucks for my used balanced cable. Meh.

Fake! Never thought of that Here is the link.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220146296110 If you guys think it's fake I'll pull out of the sale and suck up some bad feedback.

Doesn't look fake to me, unless someone has actually paid to have counterfeit Cardas name/logos imprinted on the heatshrink.

Most of the seller's negative feedback appears to be shipping related, and the seller does a volume of business that wouldn't worry me much.

definitely looks like the real thing -- cable is the right color, shrink wrap would be tough to duplicate, the connectors look good and the packaging is consistent with other cardas cables.

I wouldn't worry about it. You just got a good deal, nothing to be ashamed of!

You make me wonder about my Smurf Cardas from eBay, the heatshrink on the plug and Y-junction is marked. The actual lead has markings all along 'Cardas Headphone...'
I recall it came in Cardas packing.

I got it in 2004, were copies even about then?

Actually it is burnt-in with my 580s, should I burn it in again with 650s?

I think you can chill out, Chri5peed......burn-in, if it made a difference, would be accomplished by now.

Awesome... within a few weeks I plan on making the same purchase (10' Cardas for my senns). Unfortunately, it'll set me back about $185 unless I can find a similar auction... c'est la vie.

That sounds like a reasonable price. I have bought/sold/seen a few at that price or there abouts over the past few years.
