i love this combo, but there are other things out there i want to explore. the alien DAC was built for me by misterx. it's USB-powered and has a 1/8" mini output. blue LED. i've been the only owner...for about 15 months. in perfect condition. asking $95 shipped in USA.
the PINT was also built by misterx and was made to match the alien DAC. it sounds fantastic - the AD8397 op-amp simply rocks. i've never had any problems with it whatsoever and it's in perfect condition as well. it has an internal charger for a 9V. mini input and mini headphone output. asking $105 shipped in USA.
i'd prefer to sell both as a pair to create what i call the "poor man's microstack," which is poor only in price, but certainly not in performance. if you buy both it will come with both the charger for the PINT (i purchased this separately for $25) and the original turbo mini->mini ($15). so, all you need to provide is a battery and a cheapo USB cable. the whole set is $220 shipped in the USA.
i will give preference to those who want the set...please PM me if you're interested. paypal fine, no fees.
