AKG K701 are here...Burning in without amp?

So today morning the K701s got here but the Darkvoice 332 will get here in about a week.
I tried out them and my sound card, Zen Vision M don't have problems driving them to an adequate volume level.
So what I thought of for driving them in would be this:
I put the pink noise FLAC file someone posted in a thread about burning in with pink noise on my Zen and play it at normal listening level through the AKGs.
I thought I'll put it into my closet so it doesn't disturb me.
Is this a good idea/will it work?

You might find the burn-in sticky in this forum helpful. IMO burn in will work well without an amp so long as there is sufficient volume. Some cans respond much more to burn-in than others. Some don't seem to respond at all. I prefer playing bass heavy music when burning in. So if I can hear the bass pounding at a sufficient volume, I don't consider an amp necessary. Others seem to prefer and get satisfactory results from playing pink noise.

It worked fine when I burnt in my k701 without a dedicated amp.. I just plugged the k701 into the headphone socket of my grundig stereo system..

Let's see: I plugged the K701 into my wife's old, JVC portable system, with an MP3 disc playing in the CD (which cannot play MP3s) for "pinkish" noise. Also, I varied volume from low to medium to high over the duration.

Did you guys seen the screenshot that AKG posted on their website?

The HD Version I think picture might actually show the headphone at twice the actual size. I have a 1680 1050 res on this, and I have scroll A LOT to view the whole picture.

Jealous, those headphones look stunning. Have fun.

I use an old Sony Walkman. Set it to some random music station and let it go for a few days between listening sessions.
