Picked up a set at a thrift store for $15 !!!!!!! They have the usual woofer rot, grill covers are shot but frames are intact, and of course, what vintage speaker isn't complete with out a water ring from a plant. I was happy with my Wharfdale 8.2 speakers but couldn't resist these. All the drivers work with no distortion and no pushed in dust caps, cabinets are a little marred but the way I have them setup you don't even notice. The sound.....OMG I forgot how good these speakers sound. The highs are very crisp and the midrange is smooth like butta. The woofers still put out decent bass even without 50% of the surrounds, I have a 8" Polk subwoofer hooked up and could probably survive with them as they are. I will of course replace the surrounds, terminal posts, and update the hookup wire. I have a feeling my cans are going to sit unused for a while. Usually I can only read about these rare finds but am now happy to be part of that club.
