Aiwa HP-X10 headphones

Thread Starter
I was sent over here by a member of the Audio Asylum, being told that you guys are true "headphone geeks." Hopefully you can help me out.

I was just searching through my dad's drawer of speaker wire, RCA cables, and stuff like that when I found a pair of Aiwa HP-X10 headphones with the foam missing. Each earpiece has a flat to low boost switch. He says that they were really good headphones. How do they compare to todays headphones, and would it be possible/worth it to put new foam on them? Thanks.

I gave them a search, and the only result for that model was your thread.

I don't suppose many here have heard them, but sometimes audiophile-wonders are hidden.

Wish you luck : D

Any pics you can provide us? I had an AIWA headphone whose foam pads had disintegrated; I manually cut a similarly-shaped foam to replace the decade-old piece and it was great! Perhaps you can do something like that?

i have some old aiwa equipment in my house, its decent, for 20+ years old,
as for the headphones theres not much we can say, aiwa was bought by sony in the end and sony tried to convert it to a pop brand for its portable audio devices,
