Ordered my LiveWires - Can't decide on colors - Page 6

maybe all red would be cool, or would that look like your ears are bleeding haha...

red and clear might be a nice combo, or blue and clear...choices!

Hey larry, so how did you make payment? I assumed that you send the payment, the order form, and the impressions all at once.
I paypal'd John after we discussed the sale, and then I can send in the order form with impressions, noting the paypal transaction on the order form.

Having done some time in my Pediatric residency in children's audiology, I did my own impressions and sent him pics to see if they would be acceptable. He said that for personal listening they will do, but that if I was a musician looking for personal monitors he'd veto them because I didn't get quite deep enough. I thought I went deeper than for hearing aids, but also since I am not singing on stage with them, I didn't do the open jaw impressions.

I just might try to pull some strings tomorrow and get new impressions done STAT, and use the ones I made for a set of Sensaphonics Silicone tips for the SE500 series IEM.

As for color, I kinda like the way you can see the insides with clear/clear/clear, and since the cables are already marked red for right, I am leaning towards all clear.

Also, my wife is manager of a local hospital rehab department - I wonder if we can talk one of the audiologists there into doing some quick impressions since I am on staff at the hospital, without breaking any rules (not a rule breaker, sorry).

My eventual choice was Blue/Clear. I thought the "Star Trek" look might gain me some street cred.

.....Wonder if Earpeace could add some strobing lights?

Actually no, that would be a bad idea, I would look like a police car at night.

Yeah, how many people would think you looks like Data.

In my case, my 14 yr old daughter looked at all the photos that I found of ear pieces and base plates in combinations of clear, blue, red, black and tan.

She insists that I order nothing but the blue and red ear pieces with black caps. No ifs, ands or buts about it. I have to do what she tells me. If you have a teenager, you'll understand

Now I'm having a hard time. I think I'd really like clears (I'm crazy on black and clear, my electronics are always either), but red/blue looks nice too. :|

Nice and colourful when they're out, but all that will be seen is the black faceplate. Don a black suit, white shirt, black tie, and dark glasses, and you'll be mistaken for the FBI or the Men in Black.

I can always just mess with people by talking into my wrist.
