Have you ever hated a headphone brand from start to finish? - Page 7

Bose except for their canal phones.
most of the senn lineup minus the 595/555 and CX300.
Beyer DT770
Akg K181
Apple
Bang & Olufson headphones were probably the biggest waste of 100 dollars ive ever heard... unno the ones with the square earpads?

you have a reason to hate the build quality of the Grado's but not the look, i prefer it over the over futuristic looking senns. i like my K601s because its a compromise between the grado and senn look to me. doesnt sound half bad now that its broken in too.

Sony MDR-SA5000. Tried them twice, but they just were not for these ears.

I don't hate headphones people.

I hate fear and death.

I haven't hated a brand from start to finish, but I've never been more than mildly impressed with any Sony, for one reason or another.

Bang & Olufson

What is up with them? Why do they get such rave reviews? Why do people spend money on them?

My aunt spent thousands on them. With her whole house wired up, she can control her sound system from any room with remote. (8,000 USD System)

The system itself is amazing, and don't see the speakers, all in wall.

But all sounds like crap. There is no other way to explain it, its crap. No mids, no bass, all treble and high and makes everything sound like crap.

BTW my aunt worries more about aesthetics than sound. Plus bragging rights...

Who pays 5-10,000 USD to have their music sound like crap?

So I can imagine their headphones would not be any better.

Any headphone given to you on an airplane is pretty low on my list of things to have.

I hated every Grado I had heard... until I heard the GS-1000.

I hate Sony for what they've done to their good reputation in the last twenty or thirty years or so!

.....I still think their V6 or 7506 would make a perfectly good tough set of cans that I can share with the kids and still be able to enjoy myself when I need a little bit of isolation.

They may be an "old" Sony design, but they're still Sony!

....and ya' know; I've had my 400 disc DVD changer for nearly four years now, and it's still running perfectly! As is my seven year old PCDP!

Yeah; they once were good I guess.

I won't say I dislike Grado, but I think they are overrated and have poor quality control. I bought a pair of SR-225s and they stopped working (I have no problem with that - it happens). So they sent me a replacement.

No matter how much I burned it in, it just never sounded like my original pair (which were actually really good on certain kinds of music). This new pair is just lackluster at best. They've been in a closet for over a year now. Maybe I'll give them another try.

Okay I did come up with one company I can't stand: Bose. I shouldn't need to elaborate.
