Need help deciding on a pair of low-end Sennheiser cans. - Page 2

I bought my PX100 on eBay for $23 shipped. I'm guessing most would prefer it to the similarly priced Senns. And it can be easily modded and improved with HD414 pads for $9.

Put on the 201 again and it was downright tinny...so bright that it hurt almost. I was sold on the 555 and ended up getting those. No regrets. You will most certainly feel the need to upgrade.
Apples and oranges. The OP, I take it, wants closed phones. Certainly in general closed phones won't compete with equivalently priced open ones, let alone open ones several times the price.

I just got my HD201 today. With just 6 hours of burnin they went from sounding like two tin cans on a string to fairly respectable sounding headphones with the bass starting to show without the bass boost of my iBasso T2.
