Crossroads Mylarone X3's.

A fellow head-fier recently posted a link to www.theiriverstore.com, regarding the Mylar X3's. And...so I see the pic of them, and they look really attractive (). Also, I have heard about the manufactural flaws. Would someone enlighten me on these facts, and also, I've heard these are "good" earphones, but compared to what others. What about compared to the UE SF3's? Please more details?

Thanks

everytime i see your posts, you always express your love for sf3... why dont you keep it?

i think they are on par. i traded a sf3 for a x3 and I like it better however.

there's a thread on a x3 that's like 1024982 pages long.

I do love them so much <3, but I just like to explore the IEM world , but at the same time I don't like wasting money.

I was looking at those, are the im716's better than the er-6i's?

i just got my X3's today, and i must admit, im not terribly impressed. now i know i should wait for burn in etc etc and indeed they are being 'pink-noised' as we speak, but to me these feel very closed in at both ends, with little extension in the highs and lows. also, compared to the k81's, i find the mids to sound strange, but i cant exactly put my finger on it. let it be known i have not tried the foamies yet. with that said, these are the best ear monitors ive heard....but i guess thats nothing special, considering ive only heard low end sennheiser and sony phones.

Errr...compared to K81's you find the mids to sound strange? That's odd because K81's have horrible mids. Maybe you don't know what real mids sound like yet....lol.
