Last I heard Substance was discontinued. And I think I may be the only person who hated Substance. It was very highly regarded, so I tried it. I thought it mixed terribly and tasted even worse.
Ergopharm GF Pro is another protein that's very highly regarded. A bit expensive, but reportedly very worth it. |

Sounds like some tasty recipes. I have oatmeal in my cabinets so I'll try oats and honey tonight. Also when do you guys normally drink your shakes. I'm taking the creatine at night since I work out in the AM. I had a shake last night and one this morning after my workout.

absolutely. i hear carbs > protein post workout, though it's essential to have both within 15-25 minutes after.
as for recipes, i usually have my whatever choice of [protein with milk + banana + NATURAL peanut butter + kashi go lean cereal]. anyone ever try low sodium cottage cheese mixed with natural peanut butter before bedtime? it's an aquired taste due to the salty flavor of the cottage cheese, but i hear it provides an anti-catabolic effect while you sleep to preserve and build the muscle you're working on. |
