I would agree with this suggestion, disable autoplay (using powertools) and then load with eac. This has bypassed most 'difficult' discs in the past.

It is most likely copy protection on the CD.

There are a few discs out there that are problematic and I've had worse luck with imports (especially from Asia).

Ripping these CDs is very dependent on your disc drive. Some manufacturers have a record of their drives being able to rip copy protected discs (Lite-On comes to mind). One thing you should try is updating the firmware on your disc drive. In a lot of cases, the newest firmware will let it be able to detect and rip the disc. It has worked perfectly the few times I have done it and best of all, it is free!

If you've never done it, just go to the manufactures website, search for your drive model, download a small update program and follow the instructions.

Masayoshi Takanaka - Rainbow goblins. I tried ripping this with Itunes and it gave some wierd format. I have since ripped it with the creative software but it divided the tracks in the middle of songs. I will have to give EAC a try. That's the only CD I have had trouble with...and it's not an import.

This sounds a lot like a copyright protection which either boots a certain piece of code hiding the CD from your system once you insert it, or has mumbo jumbo encoded in it in the first couple bits so your system doesn't recognise it.
What you can do, is boot the PC with the CD already inside. This method gets past a LOT of protection schemes as the software required for the protection to work isn't running when the CD is read and indexed for the first time, skipping past that. Try it, it might work.
