Yeah... I wasn't pleased with the v8 DAC... but... that may have been more a function of the "anemic" power output of the amp with Senns and high impedance phones... or... it could have been the "anemic" boost out of my PC sound card.

My comments are about the amp of the v8 only - I don't use the DAC.

MF is missing a big market segment by designing the US/Canada version of the v8 to drive only low impedance phones - but, it does drive those very well.

i am finding that the quality of reviews is increasing. no more 2 line long reviews. nice read, and yes, you might want to look at upgrading your amp/DAC, thought if i was you, i might run now your wallet hates you. that is, after you do the markl mod.
