HD650 uses HD580 drivers?? - Page 20

Rather conveniently for them, it seems, I've sent numerous emails to Sennheiser UK and with each one I've gotten:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:

info@sennheiser.co.uk

Message will be retried for 2 more day(s)

or similar with other types of mail.

Maybe they shut down their whole mail system to keep you from getting at the dirty truth!!!

I just re-sent the message, I added a p.s.: A user on head-fi called Agnostic has vowed to kill you all if nothing is done.

I'm so going to get credited for the Grand Invasion of Germany & Ireland in the future history books.

I feel for you guys, .
I'm glad I haven't bought the HD650's yet. I'm enjoying the K701's and would like the Senns for variety, guess I'll wait to see if this issue is resolved first.

The rep should at least respond directly if only to say he is looking into it. Very bad custumer relations.

my guess is, they don't know anything about it, or know how it happened in the first place. And large companies aren't quick with finding solutions or finding the right people to deal with it.

It needs some time to even reach the right channels, wich can take action and inform you.

If they keep intentionally silent, it's not such a good thing.

But hey wait, there's tyll from headroom, a very well known sennheiser insider, maybe he can pull a few strings here?!

I bet if he, as a mayor selling point in the USA is asking something, he might get a faster answer.

^ Its obviously not as important as flight safety, but when I worked on Helicopters you could find the name of the person who fitted a certain nut in 1974.

Everything I did have been overhauled now, so its not my fault if something explodes!

my HD650s just EXPLODED. WTF??

Sure, HF is important but look at the way members are launching themselves off a cliff in this thread. Really, it's pretty amazing how the mob mentality works around here. What if the driver had said hd800 on it?

No, you'd pick up the phone and realize that the old way of doing things is sometimes still the quickest route to a resolution.

See above.
right. Thanks for the sage advice!

Now lets get back to speculating the HD750 ok?
Sennheiser spoke. They said they are not the same drivers. As to why, probably only a few people at a manufacturing plant somewhere know. I don't think this thread is going much farer.

Its got to be a genuine mistake or coincidence and I'm not sure why anyone is throwing such a fit. Lets get over what a few letters say, quit focusing on a NAME and unique traits that have absolutely nothing to do with sound, and be happy with what quality we have.

Would you throw this much of a fit if others couldn't remember the name of your headphones, but loved how they sound? Well, thats likely the case.

I called Sennheiser USA Technical support in Connecticut. They were not accepting telephone calls. I left a message and requested a call back. We'll see.

I may have to! I think they are starting to kill all witnesses to this thread:

It's the Sennheiser variety of "The Ring", once you see this thread you have 7 days to live!

Where are the guys from the Gun-fi thread when you need em! Let's form a posse and run down those Sennheiser greenhorns!

The Sennheiser rep whose post you quoted gave a very flippant and unqualified response. I do not consider that in any way an official response from Sennheiser.

*getting much fairer, going farther...?

I give up. I'm not typing the same thing out again.

How hard is it to understand the principle behind our annoyance? Paying for something you're not getting.
