3 disc compilation. I prefer discs 1 & 3. Some of the songs on disc 2 sound like disco which, 1-) I personally despise, &, 2-) is not Tony Joe's forte. Overall though it's a pretty good compilation. 64 tracks altogether with many of his best tunes make it a worthy purchase.
Bob Dylan and a group of musicians referred to as "the band" in the credits of the album. Later on after this album those musicians did keep the ID of "the band" and officially became the legendary group, 'The Band'. Not a bad album, somewhat laid-back. Don't expect high quality/ resolution/ production but the remastering of this album makes it pretty decent sound wise. I'm not really a big Dylan fan per say so I was somewhat reluctant to buy this album at first but I did want to hear how The Band sounded in their early days. Overall it's an enjoyable album. It's also nice to hear Rick Danko's singing before he ruined his voice with his personal addictions which led to his unfortunate and too early death in 1999.
