I bought six CDs today...

An Awesome Wave- Alt-J which I'm currently listening to now

I got In The Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel as well. Listened to it for the first time today. It was Weird but enjoyable.

And I also got Loveless by My Bloody Valentine. Haven't heard it yet.

The Seer by Swans

The King of Limbs by Radiohead. I was disappointed by this one, it was the only radiohead album I hadn't owned (or really loved) so far.

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 95

and lastly, Wolfgang Amadeus by Phoenix

Haven't heard all of them yet, looks like I got some listening to do!! :L3000::L3000::atsmile:

Heidi is one of the best female vocallists I've ever heard, very similar to Beth Hart but with a slight Norwegian twang:-

George Lynch - Kill All Control (2011) FLAC

Mad Season - Above 1995 FLAC

River Of Deceit (Live)

The Cadillac Three - Tennessee Mojo (2013) FLAC

I have that SACD, which is great till "Smokin'" which goes crazy strange (like DSD to MP3 <128bpm), was it original to the master?

I don't know, to be honest. Usually by the time I am hauling out the old stuff, I've had enough to drink that it all sounds amaze-balls :beerchug:

Home auditioning some cables today, so I'm trying to pull out some nice sounding recordings:

Gaucho: Limited

I grew up with a lot of 60's and 70's folk in my parents house. Luluc is what I would call indie folk but is full of nostalgia. Lovely album for the genre IMO.

Lateralus

I have to be careful to not over listen to Lateralus as it's one of my favorite heavy rock/metal releases and usually reserve for listening to gear. Every time I do I'm reminded how great sounding Lateralus. It kind of depresses me and I wish more heavy music sounded this good. The Grudge is probably my favorite one track for gear listening-if I want one track to represent the heavier sound of rock-it just has so much to listen to and compare. Such a great range of sounds from heavy to light, fantastic percussion and one of my reference "base" listening rock tracks. I always lose myself to the feeling of that song.
