Question for this thread. I'm going to a KISS concert tomorrow and never heard any of their albums. I'm sure I've heard of a song here or there without knowing it's KISS but if one was to cram a listening session, which album do I go with?

T718ZDQXu4yL._SL1200_.jpg Besides their various Alive albums, this was always my favorite. It has the best of their 70's classic material. You miss their 80's-current material. But, their 70's output is what put them on the map....speaking as a child of the 70's.

Every song on this album smokes.

Nice choice 7UPguy

Rubber Soul was issued at a time when stereo records were not as popular as mono so the mono version took priority over the stereo version when it came to production quality.  When the Beatles' albums first came out on CD in 1987, George Martin decided to give Rubber Soul a new stereo mix from the four track tapes.  The result was so impressive that the remastering team for the 2009 stereo box set used Martin's stereo version for the new remastering. Personally I find Rubber Soul to be the best "sounding" remastered album in the Beatles' catalog.

Had the opportunity to see Janiva Magness a few years ago and she was wonderful. I posted several videos of her on the female vocalists thread.

Awesome so far! I know 2 tracks on the album and it's probably their most popular on there. I'm officially excited to go watch them in concert tomorrow. I wonder if it's still the original members..

Two original members, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, Eric Singer is the drummer taking Peter Chriss' place and Tommy Thayer is the Lead guitarist, taking over for Ace Frehley. If you have never seen a KISS show prepare to have your mind blown. There are not many bands that have ever been that can compete with them in a live setting! Enjoy the show, I warn you however, it may change your life!

I was actually a total fan when double platinum came out in 1978. The concert I saw in 2010 was the best concert I have ever seen. They are a machine live, like no other!
