Modern Guilt Beck.  The Music, the sound, the imagination, album excellence in creativity is boundless. Listening w/HD600 & Teac AG-H600NT Int. Amp., 75WPC. -June 28, 2014.

 

The Road to EscondidoJ.J. Cale & Eric Clapton.  Mellow, beautiful sounding album by two masters (R.I.P. J.J.). Listening w/HD600 & Vintage Kenwood KA-8006 Int. Amp., 1974/ 70WPC. -June29, 2014. 

 

Morning Phase Beck. w/HD800 & Vintage Kenwood KA-8006 Int. Amp., 1974/ 70WPC. = Out of this world - combination of the mesmerizing sounding music on this album & HP + Amp. = I feel like I'm floating in a musical sound sphere to Nirvana (no alcohol nor any other substance enhanced state of being) = what's the word … ah yes  …. perfect …. BLISS. -June 30, 2014.  What a way to finish the month on this thread.  

 

P.S. I remember years ago Pavarotti stating in an interview that a singer's voice reaches it's maturity peak between the age of 40-45; Beck is 43 & his voice is something to behold on this album.

So, I'm expanding my jazz collection which I only really started in earnest last year. Looking into solo efforts from sidemen you see in a lot of heavyweight jazz classics: Wayne Shorter, Freddie Hubbard, Kenny Dorham.

 

Today listening to a new CD: luv that dark, seedy vibe.

 

 

 

Wayne Shorter played in Weather report-going w/ the six degrees of separation thing:
