Yes, a welcome return is the new Plastikman release. Only heard snippets of it yet, nice stuff, but can never be a patch on Sheet One. There's no bettering that. THE minimal acid masterwork.

Ben Frost-Aurora-2014

This album is breathtaking to me....experimental, epic, electronic with a lot of percussion and synthesizer. Apparently inspired by time he spent in the congo. 9 songs  categorized under three themes or movements: Heat-Light-Sun. It plays like a futuristic film score IMO. Beautiful, disturbing, ethereal. There is so much to hear.

A couple new purchases today. When the girl working at the record store saw me pick up Neon Bible, she got a copy out from behind the counter and put in on over the speakers for me to continue shopping to. Now that's what I call customer service!

Lazaretto Jack White Vinyl

Be aware this vinyl is crazy, side A plays inside out, floating hologram of an angel on side A, 45 rpm and 78 rpm inside labels, drop a needle and hidden tracks of acoustic and electric, a very good album, but not up to Blunderbuss standards.

FYI the CD,vinyl, and downloads are different from each other.

A friend of mine had a source with an advance copy a few weeks before the release, and we were marveling over the sheer engineering feat of the record itself. I've always been more of a fan of The White Stripes than I am of Jack's solo stuff, but I'm going to buy a copy of this record on presentation alone. The locking repeat grooves and hidden tracks are some of the coolest things I've ever seen on a vinyl release.

Edit: That's Jake Bugg in your profile picture, is it not? The cover of his first album, if I'm not mistaken.
