King Crimson-In the Wake of Poseidon. I just picked up the 30'th anniversary edition (99). Any comments on the Stephen Wilson 40th anniversary series (2012) vs. earlier masters? To my ears, the 30th anniversary sounds pretty darn good.

Clean Tears - Tonality

Electropop, J-pop, trance, hints of electro house, dubstep and complextro, and techno-ish electronica, all in the same package. As unexpected as it is, every new Clean Tears album is always a tough sell for me at first, but practically every time there is always a great revelation to me after a required number of listens. First listen to this particular album left me with a lukewarm impression, second listen just now was incredibly positive. I'm probably going to throughly love this new record after my third listen, if I had to guess.

Gloria Cheng & Calder Quartet - Messiaen / Saariaho: The Edge of Light

I bought this disc solely for the Saariaho compositions and was not disappointed. The half of the disc dedicated to her is truly glorious as per the pianist's name.

I've become a fan of McCoy Tyner's playing with Coltrane and Joe Henderson. He just has a classic, sound. I enjoy piano jazz...Evans, Jarret, Mehldau.

This is the first CD I've picked up w/ McCoy as bandleader after seeing it on various critics best in jazz lists. Really good 60's late 60's hard bop. I'd say if you like McCoy's experimental work with Coltrane and his slightly more melodic sensibilities with Henderson,  this is obvious.

I highly recommend that you check out "Sahara" by McCoy Tyner. I really enjoy him as a pianist and that album is truly great yet often overlooked.

One of the better pop rock albums of the past decade, with pretty good production value as well. I recently discovered that I have a copy on CD, though I can't remember ever buying it.
