The problem I have with falling in love with relatively young bands is that there's usually not much of a catalog to listen to, and I'm stuck waiting on the edge of my seat for the next album for years at a time. I've been lucky enough to see Dawes a couple times in concert over the last half-decade, but their entire repertoire is 34 songs over three albums, and I keep coming back to this first one as my favorite. At times I fear that I'll get bored of these tracks, despite their folk-rock beauty.

And now onto something different, but still folk influenced. The Wind Whistles have a DIY, Western U.S. sound, but with ambient electric guitar reverb, cellos, and bells used in the background to give a more mysterious atmosphere to their music. It's a duo, but all my favorite tracks are those where their male singer is alone for some reason.

Isao Tomita - Symphony Ihatov

After hearing it three times now I've completely fallen in love with this symphony. Planning on ordering the Blu-ray that recently came out at the beginning of next month.

Bliss, bliss.
