This is probably one of my favorite soft rock albums of the 1970s, with much better production than most similar albums of the era and much better songwriting than anything that populates the genre today.

You'll love it.  The Pretender is a great song, as is The Fuse...................

Unfortunately it's a little short (only eight tracks), but they're all extremely solid songs. My personal favorite track is Here Come Those Tears Again. Of course, Running on Empty is a better-known album, but I still think The Pretender is written better. I also immensely enjoy one his later works, 1993's I'm Alive.
