New purchases. I'm years behind the buying curve on all of them, but that just means I get good deals on used copies. The Coldplay is a bit of a letdown; I feel like almost every decent song on the album was one I'd already heard as a single, and nothing they've done since X&Y has really captured the creativity of their earlier sound. The Killers' album isn't as good as Hot Fuss, but it's miles better than Day & Age and Battle Born, so I'll take it. Songs for Silverman is solid, as Ben Folds always is.

This has been a long time favorite of mine. I've listened to this album a lot over the last 30 years in everything from LP to cassette, CD and now FLAC. Tonight I'm listening to this in two formats, a regular FLAC file and a 96/24 high resolution edition, and seeing if I can discern any difference between the two. Based on my limited listening through my Meelectronics CW31's (The Mad Dogs are off getting upgraded to the Pro version) I think the high-res version has a bit more detail and fullness of sound, especially in the quiet parts. I will need to do some more listening, and have my wife pick the version without telling me which one, before issuing a final opinion on this whole hi-rez music thing.

Either way, this is a great album and I'm sure I'll be listening to it for a long time to come, no matter what bitrate it's at.

I've been really impressed with the hi-rez Elton John.  The higher end HP's really pick up the nuances.

Elton John should pay me for as many times as I've purchased his music, the same music, since the 70's on different formats. Maybe I'm done now that I have hi-rez FLAC? Wait there's DSD now. Oy! Madman in particular one of his best.

Probably the best pop-punk album ever made.

How do you say WOW in Japanese? I couldn't quite figure out the mask thing...

Then I ran into this group... these guys blow me away on all kinds of levels...

That was so much fun, I had to try another one...
